Bible: Zech. 3:2-5; 6:11-13

3:2 The Lord 1  said to Satan, “May the Lord rebuke you, Satan! May the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, 2  rebuke you! Isn’t this man like a burning stick snatched from the fire? 3:3 Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes 3  as he stood there before the angel. 3:4 The angel 4  spoke up to those standing all around, “Remove his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua, “I have freely forgiven your iniquity and will dress you 5  in fine clothing.” 3:5 Then I spoke up, “Let a clean turban be put on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood nearby.

6:11 The earth was ruined 1  in the sight of 2  God; the earth was filled with violence. 3  6:12 God saw the earth, and indeed 4  it was ruined, 5  for all living creatures 6  on the earth were sinful. 7  6:13 So God said 8  to Noah, “I have decided that all living creatures must die, 9  for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Now I am about to destroy 10  them and the earth.
