Bible: Romans 2:28-29; 4:13-17; 9:6-8
2:28 For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision something that is outward in the flesh, 2:29 but someone is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart 1 by the Spirit 2 and not by the written code. 3 This person’s 4 praise is not from people but from God.
4:13 Then Cain said to the
Lord, “My punishment 1 is too great to endure! 2 4:14 Look! You are driving me off the land 3 today, and I must hide from your presence. 4 I will be a homeless wanderer on the earth; whoever finds me will kill me.” 4:15 But the Lord said to him, “All right then, 5 if anyone kills Cain, Cain will be avenged seven times as much.” 6 Then the Lord put a special mark 7 on Cain so that no one who found him would strike him down. 8 4:16 So Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and lived in the land of Nod, 9 east of Eden.
