Bible: Rom. 13:9-10; 14:15, 19, 21; 15:1

13:9 For the commandments, 1 Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet, 2  (and if there is any other commandment) are summed up in this,Love your neighbor as yourself.” 3  13:10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

14:15 Then, during the night, 1  Abram 2  divided his forces 3  against them and defeated them. He chased them as far as Hobah, which is north 4  of Damascus. 14:19 He blessed Abram, saying,

Blessed be Abram by 5  the Most High God,

Creator 6  of heaven and earth. 7 

14:21 Then the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people and take the possessions for yourself.”

The Cutting of the Covenant

15:1 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram! I am your shield 1  and the one who will reward you in great abundance.” 2
