12:1 Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, ¹  by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice – alive, holy, and pleasing to God ²  – which is your reasonable service. 12:2 Do not be conformed ³  to this present world, ⁴  but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve ⁵  what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.

So the relatives separated from each other. ²  13:12 Abram settled in the land of Canaan, but Lot settled among the cities of the Jordan plain ³  and pitched his tents next to Sodom. 13:13 (Now ⁴  the people ⁵  of Sodom were extremely wicked rebels against the Lord.) ⁶ 

13:14 After Lot had departed, the Lord said to Abram, ⁷  “Look ⁸  from the place where you stand to the north, south, east, and west.
