6:2 So 1  I looked, 2  and here came 3  a white horse! The 4  one who rode it 5  had a bow, and he was given a crown, 6  and as a conqueror 7  he rode out to conquer.

6:4 And another horse, fiery red, 8  came out, and the one who rode it 9  was granted permission 10  to take peace from the earth, so that people would butcher 11  one another, and he was given a huge sword.

6:8 So 12  I looked 13  and here came 14  a pale green 15  horse! The 16  name of the one who rode it 17  was Death, and Hades followed right behind. 18  They 19  were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill its population with the sword, 20  famine, and disease, 21  and by the wild animals of the earth.

6:11 Each 22  of them was given a long white robe and they were told to rest for a little longer, until the full number was reached 23  of both their fellow servants 24  and their brothers who were going to be killed just as they had been.

7:2 You must take with you seven 1  of every kind of clean animal, 2  the male and its mate, 3  two of every kind of unclean animal, the male and its mate,
8:2 The fountains of the deep and the floodgates of heaven were closed, 1  and the rain stopped falling from the sky. 8:3 The waters kept receding steadily 2  from the earth, so that they 3  had gone down 4  by the end of the 150 days.

God’s Covenant with Humankind through Noah

9:1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. 9:3 You may eat any moving thing that lives. 1  As I gave you 2  the green plants, I now give 3  you everything.

9:5 For your lifeblood 4  I will surely exact punishment, 5  from 6  every living creature I will exact punishment. From each person 7  I will exact punishment for the life of the individual 8  since the man was his relative. 9

The Dispersion of the Nations at Babel

12:14 When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.

13:5 Now Lot, who was traveling 1  with Abram, also had 2  flocks, herds, and tents. 13:7 So there were quarrels 3  between Abram’s herdsmen and Lot’s herdsmen. 4  (Now the Canaanites and the Perizzites were living in the land at that time.) 5

13:14 After Lot had departed, the Lord said to Abram, 6 Look 7  from the place where you stand to the north, south, east, and west. 13:15 I will give all the land that you see to you and your descendants 8  forever.

16:8 He said, “Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She replied, “I’m running away from 1  my mistress, Sarai.”

19:8 Look, I have two daughters who have never had sexual relations with 1  a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do to them whatever you please. 2  Only don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection 3  of my roof.” 4

20:4 Now Abimelech had not gone near her. He said, “Lord, 1  would you really slaughter an innocent nation? 2
