Bible: Rev 1:19; 2:1, 8, 12, 18; 3:1, 7, 14; 14:13; 19:9; 21:5

1:19 Therefore write what you saw, what is, and what will be after these things. 1

2:1 The heavens and the earth 1  were completed with everything that was in them. 2

2:8 The Lord God planted an orchard 3  in the east, 4  in Eden; 5  and there he placed the man he had formed. 6  2:12 (The gold of that land is pure; 7  pearls 8  and lapis lazuli 9  are also there).

2:18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. 10  I will make a companion 11  for him who corresponds to him.” 12

The Temptation and the Fall

3:1 Now 1  the serpent 2  was more shrewd 3

than any of the wild animals 4  that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Is it really true that 5  God 6  said, ‘You must not eat from any tree of the orchard? 7  3:7 Then the eyes of both of them opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

3:14 The Lord God said to the serpent, 8

“Because you have done this,

cursed 9  are you above all the wild beasts

and all the living creatures of the field!

On your belly you will crawl 10

and dust you will eat 11  all the days of your life.

14:13 A fugitive 1  came and told Abram the Hebrew. 2  Now Abram was living by the oaks 3  of Mamre the Amorite, the brother 4  of Eshcol and Aner. (All these were allied by treaty 5  with Abram.) 6

19:9Out of our way!” 1  they cried, and “This man came to live here as a foreigner, 2  and now he dares to judge us! 3  We’ll do more harm 4  to you than to them!” They kept 5  pressing in on Lot until they were close enough 6  to break down the door.

21:5 (Now Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.) 1
