10:12 Rise up, Lord! ¹ 

O God, strike him down! ² 

Do not forget the oppressed!

10:13 Why does the wicked man reject God? ³ 

He says to himself, ⁴  “You ⁵  will not hold me accountable.” ⁶ 

10:14 You have taken notice, ⁷ 

for ⁸  you always see ⁹  one who inflicts pain and suffering. ¹⁰ 

The unfortunate victim entrusts his cause to you; ¹¹ 

you deliver ¹²  the fatherless. ¹³ 

10:15 Break the arm ¹⁴  of the wicked and evil man!

Hold him accountable for his wicked deeds, ¹⁵ 

which he thought you would not discover. ¹⁶ 

10:16 The Lord rules forever! ¹⁷ 

The nations are driven out of his land. ¹⁸ 

10:17 Lord, you have heard ¹⁹  the request ²⁰  of the oppressed;

you make them feel secure because you listen to their prayer. ²¹
