2:9 You will break them ¹  with an iron scepter; ² 

you will smash them like a potter’s jar!’” ³ 

1:9 God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place ¹  and let dry ground appear.” ²  It was so. 1:10 God called the dry ground “land” ³  and the gathered waters he called “seas.” God saw that it was good.

1:11 God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: ⁴  plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, ⁵  and ⁶  trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.” It was so.
