7:1 “Do not judge so that you will not be judged. ¹  7:2 For by the standard you judge you will be judged, and the measure you use will be the measure you receive. ²  7:3 Why ³  do you see the speck ⁴  in your brother’s eye, but fail to see ⁵  the beam of wood ⁶  in your own? 7:4 Or how can you say ⁷  to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye,’ while there is a beam in your own? 7:5 You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

18:16 When the men got up to leave, ²  they looked out over ³  Sodom. (Now ⁴  Abraham was walking with them to see them on their way.) ⁵  18:17 Then the Lord said, “Should I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? ⁶  18:18 After all, Abraham ⁷  will surely become ⁸  a great and powerful nation, and all the nations on the earth will pronounce blessings on one another ⁹  using his name. 18:19 I have chosen him ¹⁰  so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep ¹¹  the way of the Lord by doing ¹²  what is right and just. Then the Lord will give ¹³  to Abraham what he promised ¹⁴  him.”

18:20 So the Lord said, “The outcry against ¹⁵  Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so blatant ¹⁶
