1:23 Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him 1  Emmanuel,” 2  which means 3 God with us.” 4 

2:15 The Lord God took the man and placed 1  him in the orchard in 2  Eden to care for it and to maintain it. 3 

2:18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. 1  I will make a companion 2  for him who corresponds to him.” 3 

2:23 Then the man said,

This one at last 1  is bone of my bones

and flesh of my flesh;

this one will be called 2 woman,’

for she was taken out of 3  man.” 4 

4:15 But the Lord said to him, “All right then, 1  if anyone kills Cain, Cain will be avenged seven times as much.” 2  Then the Lord put a special mark 3  on Cain so that no one who found him would strike him down. 4 

8:15 Then God spoke to Noah and said,

12:18 So Pharaoh summoned Abram and said, “What is this 1  you have done to me? Why didn’t you tell me that she was your wife?

Abram’s Solution to the Strife

13:1 So Abram went up from Egypt into the Negev. 1  He took his wife and all his possessions with him, as well as Lot. 2 

21:5 (Now Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.) 1 

27:9 Go to the flock and get me two of the best young goats. I’ll prepare 1  them in a tasty way for your father, just the way he loves them. 27:10 Then you will take 2  it to your father. Thus he will eat it 3  and 4  bless you before he dies.”
