Abram’s Solution to the Strife

13:1 So Abram went up from Egypt into the Negev. 1  He took his wife and all his possessions with him, as well as Lot. 2 

17:25 his son Ishmael was thirteen years old 1  when he was circumcised.
19:5 They shouted to Lot, 1  “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so we can have sex 2  with them!”

19:22 Run there quickly, 3  for I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” (This incident explains why the town was called Zoar.) 4 

The Sacrifice of Isaac

22:1 Some time after these things God tested 1  Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am!” Abraham 2  replied.

24:25 We have plenty of straw and feed,” she added, 1  “and room for you 2  to spend the night.”

24:26 The man bowed his head and worshiped the Lord, 24:27 saying “Praised be the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his faithful love 3  for my master! The Lord has led me 4  to the house 5  of my master’s relatives!” 6
