3:10 The Lord’s spirit empowered him 1  and he led Israel. When he went to do battle, the Lord handed over to him King Cushan-Rishathaim of Aram and he overpowered him. 2 

God’s Grief over Humankind’s Wickedness

6:1 When humankind 1  began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born 2  to them, 3 

11:29 And Abram and Nahor took wives for themselves. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, 1  and the name of Nahor’s wife was Milcah; 2  she was the daughter of Haran, the father of both Milcah and Iscah.

Abram’s Solution to the Strife

13:1 So Abram went up from Egypt into the Negev. 1  He took his wife and all his possessions with him, as well as Lot. 2 

14:6 and the Horites in their hill country of Seir, as far as El Paran, which is near the desert. 1  14:19 He blessed Abram, saying,

Creator 3  of heaven and earth. 4 

15:14 But I will execute judgment on the nation that they will serve. 1  Afterward they will come out with many possessions. 15:19 the land 2  of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
