1:12 But to all who have received him – those who believe in his name 1 he has given the right to become God’s children

3:15 And I will put hostility 1  between you and the woman

and between your offspring and her offspring; 2 

her offspring will attack 3  your head,

and 4  you 5  will attack her offspring’s heel.” 6 

3:16 To the woman he said,

I will greatly increase 7  your labor pains; 8 

with pain you will give birth to children.

You will want to control your husband, 9 

but he will dominate 10  you.”

3:18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,

but you will eat the grain 11  of the field.

12:1 Now the Lord said 1  to Abram, 2 

“Go out 3  from your country, your relatives, and your father’s household

to the land that I will show you. 4
