Bible: Jer. 35:15; 44:4-5
35:15 I sent all my servants the prophets to warn you over and over again. They said, “Every one of you, stop doing the evil things you have been doing and do what is right. 1 Do not pay allegiance to other gods 2 and worship them. Then you can continue to live in this land that I gave to you and your ancestors.” But you did not pay any attention or listen to me.
44:4 They had not gone very far from the city 1 when Joseph said 2 to the servant who was over his household, “Pursue the men at once! 3 When you overtake 4 them, say to them, ‘Why have you repaid good with evil? 44:5 Doesn’t my master drink from this cup 5 and use it for divination? 6 You have done wrong!’” 7
