65:20 Never again will one of her infants live just a few days ¹ 

or an old man die before his time. ² 

Indeed, no one will die before the age of a hundred, ³ 

anyone who fails to reach ⁴  the age of a hundred will be considered cursed.

65:21 They will build houses and live in them;

they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

65:22 No longer will they build a house only to have another live in it, ⁵ 

or plant a vineyard only to have another eat its fruit, ⁶ 

for my people will live as long as trees, ⁷ 

and my chosen ones will enjoy to the fullest what they have produced. ⁸ 

65:23 They will not work in vain,

or give birth to children that will experience disaster. ⁹ 

For the Lord will bless their children

and their descendants. ¹⁰ 

1:20 God said, “Let the water swarm with swarms ¹  of living creatures and let birds fly ²  above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” 1:21 God created the great sea creatures ³  and every living and moving thing with which the water swarmed, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. God saw that it was good. 1:22 God blessed them ⁴  and said, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth.” ⁵  1:23 There was evening, and there was morning, a fifth day.

1:24 God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: cattle, creeping things, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” ⁶  It was so.
