Salutation

1:1 From Paul, 1  an apostle (not from men, nor by human agency, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead) 1:12 For I did not receive it or learn it from any human source; 2  instead I received it 3  by a revelation of Jesus Christ. 4 

1:17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem 5  to see those who were apostles before me, but right away I departed to Arabia, 6  and then returned to Damascus.

2:3 God blessed the seventh day and made it holy 1  because on it he ceased all the work that he 2  had been doing in creation. 3 

2:5 Now 4  no shrub of the field had yet grown on the earth, and no plant of the field 5  had yet sprouted, for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground. 6
