Bible: Exodus 20:8-11; 31:12-17

20:8Remember 1  the Sabbath 2  day to set it apart as holy. 3  20:9 For six days 4  you may labor 5  and do all your work, 6  20:10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; on it 7  you shall not do any work, you, 8  or your son, or your daughter, or your male servant, or your female servant, or your cattle, or the resident foreigner who is in your gates. 9  20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, and he rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.

31:12 Then he said, ‘Observe 1  that all the male goats mating with 2  the flock are streaked, speckled, or spotted, for I have observed all that Laban has done to you. 31:13 I am the God of Bethel, 3  where you anointed 4  the sacred stone and made a vow to me. 5  Now leave this land immediately 6  and return to your native land.’

31:14 Then Rachel and Leah replied to him, “Do we still have any portion or inheritance 7  in our father’s house? 31:15 Hasn’t he treated us like foreigners? He not only sold us, but completely wasted 8  the money paid for us! 9  31:16 Surely all the wealth that God snatched away from our father belongs to us and to our children. So now do everything God has told you.”

31:17 So Jacob immediately put his children and his wives on the camels. 10
