2:1 And although you were ¹  dead ²  in your transgressions and sins, 2:2 in which ³  you formerly lived ⁴  according to this world’s present path, ⁵  according to the ruler of the kingdom ⁶  of the air, the ruler of ⁷  the spirit ⁸  that is now energizing ⁹  the sons of disobedience, ¹⁰  2:3 among whom ¹¹  all of us ¹²  also ¹³  formerly lived out our lives in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath ¹⁴  even as the rest… ¹⁵ 

4:1 Now ¹  the man had marital relations with ²  his wife Eve, and she became pregnant ³  and gave birth to Cain. Then she said, “I have created ⁴  a man just as the Lord did!” ⁵ 

6:11 The earth was ruined ²  in the sight of ³  God; the earth was filled with violence. ⁴  6:12 God saw the earth, and indeed ⁵  it was ruined, ⁶  for all living creatures ⁷  on the earth were sinful. ⁸  6:13 So God said ⁹  to Noah, “I have decided that all living creatures must die, ¹⁰  for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Now I am about to destroy ¹¹  them and the earth. 6:14 Make ¹²  for yourself an ark of cypress ¹³  wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover ¹⁴  it with pitch inside and out. 6:15 This is how you should make it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. ¹⁵  6:16 Make a roof for the ark and finish it, leaving 18 inches ¹⁶  from the top. ¹⁷  Put a door in the side of the ark, and make lower, middle, and upper decks. 6:17 I am about to bring ¹⁸  floodwaters ¹⁹  on the earth to destroy ²⁰  from under the sky all the living creatures that have the breath of life in them. ²¹  Everything that is on the earth will die, 6:18 but I will confirm ²²  my covenant with you. You will enter ²³  the ark – you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
