Bible: Ephesians 1:19-21; 3:16-21

1:19 and what is the incomparable 1  greatness of his power toward 2  us who believe, as displayed in 3  the exercise of his immense strength. 4  1:20 This power 5  he exercised 6  in Christ when he raised him 7  from the dead and seated him 8  at his right hand in the heavenly realms 9  1:21 far above every rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

3:16 To the woman he said,

I will greatly increase 1  your labor pains; 2

with pain you will give birth to children.

You will want to control your husband, 3

but he will dominate 4  you.”

3:17 But to Adam 5  he said,

Because you obeyed 6  your wife

and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,

‘You must not eat from it,’

cursed is the ground 7  thanks to you; 8

in painful toil you will eat 9  of it all the days of your life.

3:18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,

but you will eat the grain 10  of the field.

3:19 By the sweat of your brow 11  you will eat food

until you return to the ground, 12

for out of it you were taken;

for you are dust, and to dust you will return.” 13

3:20 The man 14  named his wife Eve, 15  because 16  she was the mother of all the living. 17  3:21 The Lord God made garments from skin 18  for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.
