Bible: Deuteronomy 29:26-28; 30:15-20

29:26 They went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods they did not know and that he did not permit them to worship. 1  29:27 That is why the Lord’s anger erupted against this land, bringing on it all the curses 2  written in this scroll. 29:28 So the Lord has uprooted them from their land in anger, wrath, and great rage and has deported them to another land, as is clear today.”
30:15 But Leah replied, 1 Wasn’t it enough that you’ve taken away my husband? Would you take away my son’s mandrakes too?” “All right,” 2  Rachel said, “he may sleep 3  with you tonight in exchange for your son’s mandrakes.” 30:16 When Jacob came in from the fields that evening, Leah went out to meet him and said, “You must sleep 4  with me because I have paid for your services 5  with my son’s mandrakes.” So he had marital relations 6  with her that night. 30:17 God paid attention 7  to Leah; she became pregnant 8  and gave Jacob a son for the fifth time. 9  30:18 Then Leah said, “God has granted me a reward 10  because I gave my servant to my husband as a wife.” 11  So she named him Issachar. 12

30:19 Leah became pregnant again and gave Jacob a son for the sixth time. 13  30:20 Then Leah said, “God has given me a good gift. Now my husband will honor me because I have given him six sons.” So she named him Zebulun. 14
