Bible: Deut 12:5, 11, 14, 18, 26; 14:23, 24; 15:20; 16:2, 6, 7, 11, 15, 16; 17:8, 10; 18:6; 26:2; 31:11

12:5 But you must seek only the place he 1  chooses from all your tribes to establish his name as his place of residence, 2  and you must go there. 12:11 Then you must come to the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to reside, bringing 3  everything I am commanding you – your burnt offerings, sacrifices, tithes, the personal offerings you have prepared, 4  and all your choice votive offerings which you devote to him. 5  12:14 for you may do so 6  only in the place the Lord chooses in one of your tribal areas – there you may do everything I am commanding you. 7

12:18 Only in the presence of the Lord your God may you eat these, in the place he 8  chooses. This applies to you, your son, your daughter, your male and female servants, and the Levites 9  in your villages. In that place you will rejoice before the Lord your God in all the output of your labor. 10  12:26 Only the holy things and votive offerings that belong to you, you must pick up and take to the place the Lord will choose. 11
14:23 that I will take nothing 1  belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal. That way you can never say, ‘It is I 2  who made Abram rich.’ 14:24 I will take nothing 3  except compensation for what the young men have eaten. 4  As for the share of the men who went with me – Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre – let them take their share.”

15:20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,
16:2 So Sarai said to Abram, “Since 1  the Lord has prevented me from having children, have sexual relations with 2  my servant. Perhaps I can have a family by her.” 3  Abram did what 4  Sarai told him.

16:6 Abram said to Sarai, “Since your 5  servant is under your authority, 6  do to her whatever you think best.” 7  Then Sarai treated Hagar 8  harshly, 9  so she ran away from Sarai. 10

16:7 The Lord’s angel 11  found Hagar near a spring of water in the desert – the spring that is along the road to Shur. 12  16:11 Then the Lord’s angel said to her,

“You are now 13  pregnant

and are about to give birth 14  to a son.

You are to name him Ishmael, 15

for the Lord has heard your painful groans. 16

16:15 So Hagar gave birth to Abram’s son, whom Abram named Ishmael. 17  16:16 (Now 18  Abram was 86 years old 19  when Hagar gave birth to Ishmael.) 20

17:8 I will give the whole land of Canaan – the land where you are now residing 1 to you and your descendants after you as a permanent 2  possession. I will be their God.”

17:10 This is my requirement that you and your descendants after you must keep: 3  Every male among you must be circumcised. 4

18:6 So Abraham hurried into the tent and said to Sarah, “Quick! Take 1  three measures 2  of fine flour, knead it, and make bread.” 3

26:2 The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; 1  settle down in the land that I will point out to you. 2
31:11 In the dream the angel of God said to me, ‘Jacob!’ ‘Here I am!’ I replied.
