5:6 And God will exalt you in due time, 1 if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand 2 5:7 by casting 3 all your cares 4 on him because he cares for you. 5:8 Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion, 5 is on the prowl looking for someone 6 to devour. 5:9 Resist him, 7 strong in your faith, because you know 8 that your brothers and sisters 9 throughout the world 10 are enduring 11 the same kinds of suffering. 12
